Runcorn 0 - Bowdon Killer Bees 5

It was an interesting match to say the least... Foregoing the blizzard conditions, the mud and the slanted affect of the pitch (not that it made much difference as the balls wouldn't move out of the holes in the pitch anyway), the most surprising aspect of the match was, perhaps, the presence of two 3rd team players - ladies! (Toni & Tiff. Hey, we've always known we could pull birds whenever we wanted. Even more surprising than chicks on the team was Bucket turning up! He played rather splendidly too, unlike the rest of the 4th team who are too scared to play in the cold! - Ed) And also, for me, the sight of Olly running (Bleedin' ell. She's only played one match for us & she's already writing match reports like a pro! I think that Yokker bloke has been a bad influence - Ed).

Despite the elements being thrown against us and various bodily parts turning blue, we won five nil. This was largely due to the precision and skill of the Bowdon players, entrancing the opposition with the graceful & fluent way in which they barged through them.

(Wow! I didn't know we could barge entrancingly! Another string to the Bees bow. Thanks again to Tiff, Toni & Bucket for turning up for a potentially miserable game in ***king awful weather, which turned out to be arther fun in quite respectable cold sunshine! - Q)
